A little school with a big heart served up something sweet for a good cause.
More than 30 cakes were made and donated by pupils and parents for a coffee morning at Bawdsey Primary School, near Woodbridge.
Invited guests enjoyed a treat before taking a tour of the school.
Headteacher Katie Butler was proud of the children’s hard work to raise more than £280 for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
“Year 5 and Year 6 pupils served the guests, taking and fulfilling the orders of the visitors and helping provide the ingredients for people with dietary requirements,” she added.
“Afterwards, the guests were offered a guided tour of the school by the Year 3 and Year 4 pupils, to see the other classes in action and to see the new hall windows and changes to the (EYFS) Early Years Foundation Stage and Year 1 class that had happened in the summer holidays.”
