Cyclist in stable condition after Aldeburgh van crash

A cyclist who suffered serious injuries during a crash in a Suffolk seaside town is now in a stable condition, police have confirmed.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were sent to High Street, Aldeburgh around 4.10pm on Saturday to reports of a collision between a van and a bicycle.
The cyclist, a woman in her 50s, was taken to hospital by land ambulance for care.
Her injuries were initially deemed serious.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Constabulary today said the woman had been assessed at hospital and was now in a stable condition.
No-one else was badly hurt during the incident.
High Street was closed as emergency services worked at the scene.
The road reopened at 6.30pm the same day.
The air ambulance landed on the beach near Aldeburgh Lifeboat Station.
