Farm shop donating a pound for every pound of special sage sausages sold ahead of Suffolk Day
A family-run farm shop has already kicked off fundraising ahead of Suffolk Day celebrations.
The Thickitt farming and butchery family, who own Emmerdale Farm Shop at Darsham, near Yoxford, started fundraising on Saturday for Talitha Koum, which is soon to open a rehabilitation centre for women recovering from addictions, near Ipswich.
Emmerdale Farm Shop’s butchery counter is giving a one pound – in cash – for every pound – in weight – sold of its Suffolk sage sausages.
Jeremy Thickitt said “It is a project that we are eager to support and we are thrilled that we can help on the first-ever Suffolk Day to fundraise for one of the county’s most inspiring causes and give practical help to those in real need in Suffolk.”
Emmerdale Farm Shop, in Westleton Road, Darsham, off the A12 near Yoxford, rears rare breed British cattle and grows its own animal feed. Fundraising continues up to and including Wednesday.
