Firefighters tackled a blaze at an east Suffolk pub early this morning.

Crews from Ipswich, Orford, Woodbridge and Colchester attended the fire at the Plough on Main Road, Sutton, at 4.17am.

Firefighters battled the blaze for over an hour and “stop” was called to the incident at 5.28am.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said: “Fire crews attended following reports of fire in the building.

“On arrival, additional crews were requested along with an aerial appliance. Crews used the aerial appliance, breathing apparatus and hose reels to extinguish the fire.”
