More than 50 classic vehicles were on display along the Aldeburgh seafront today.

Hundreds of motoring enthusiasts turned up to the event, organised by The 100 Friends Motoring Enthusiasts Group, near Moot Hall during the day.

Group member Pete Jacobs said: “Despite the weather, we had a very good turnout and it was a lovely event.

“We had a wide range of cars dating from the 1920s to the 1980s, and lots of people were admiring them.

“I think these classic cars bring back lots of memories for people. They may remember their father’s or grandfather’s car, and for the younger generation, it is a new experience for them and some got to sit in the cars.”

Vehicles ranged from the Rover P5 to the Austin 7, with a number of Rolls-Royces, Minis and Fords.

Mr Jacobs said the event also raised around £100, which will be donated to the Aldeburgh United Charities fund.

The 100 Friends Motoring Enthusiasts Group is holding the next event on the August Bank Holiday Monday (August 29).
