From long spells of warm sunshine to late April showers, Suffolk and Essex residents can expect changeable weather over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend.
The best weather is forecast from Saturday evening and into Sunday morning and early afternoon, before showers, at times heavy, sweep in, lasting throughout Monday.
Temperatures are set to reach a high of 16C (60.8F) on Saturday and 17C (62.6F) on Sunday. The temperature will be around 6C (42.8F) during both nights.

James Wilby, forecaster at Weatherquest, said: “On Saturday, it will be cloudy with sunny spells at times with light winds, and will not feel too bad at all. It will be dry, cloudy with clear spells during the evening.
“On Sunday, there will be bright and sunny spells throughout the morning, with more cloud developing in the afternoon. By the end of the afternoon, it may well be cloudy, with a few showers in the evening. The showers will be heavier at night and into Monday.
“There is still some uncertainty for Monday, but there is the risk of one or two heavy showers, during the afternoon, and a small chance of a bit of thunder with the rain.”
Temperatures could still climb to 14C (57.F) on Monday, but will feel even cooler amid a south-easterly wind over the Bank Holiday weekend, which could rise up to 20mph, Mr Wilby said.
Overall, he added: “I think the best day will be the bulk of Sunday, which is looking pretty good. On Saturday there will be more brightness towards the end of the day.
“After Sunday afternoon, it goes downhill in terms of rainfall, overnight Sunday and into Monday. There is a small chance of thunder with rain on Sunday night and possibly on Monday.”
