The Take 8 Chefs event was held at The Table restaurant in Woodbridge and was organised by Tony Moorcroft who is running this year’s London Marathon for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

The evening bought together chefs from around the Woodbridge area who each had to cook one course of an eight course menu.

Mr Moorcroft said: “I was delighted with the turnout and the amount people spent on the evening.

“I’d like to thank all the chefs who worked amazingly as a team as well as the suppliers who provided produce for free.

“It was a unique and special evening.”

£5,500 was raised on the night bringing Mr Moorcroft’s fundraising total to more than £12,000, more than £2,000 over his initial target.

The London Marathon takes place this coming Sunday.
