A teenager injured in a serious crash in Suffolk last week is still believed to be in a critical condition in hospital.

Suffolk police said tonight there had been no update on the condition of the 17-year-old girl, who was injured in a crash in Blyford, near Halesworth, on Thursday.

A silver Vauxhall Corsa and a silver Renault Trafic van crashed on the B1123 at around 4.45pm, leaving four people injured.

The 17-year-old girl, who was in the rear passenger seat of the Corsa, was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, having sustained life-threatening injuries.

Four fire engines, an air ambulance, police and paramedics all attended the scene. The road remained closed for several hours while an investigation took place, reopening at around 11pm.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Roads Policing and Firearms Operations Team on 101 quoting reference CAD 248 of 8 February.
