Our team will be bringing you live coverage of today’s Tour of Britain stage six, which races across Suffolk – see our updates below.

The racing starts at 10.45am in Newmarket, and the peloton of elite male riders will weave their way across the county with an expected finish time of 3pm in Aldeburgh.

With wet weather along the route, spectators could be in for a thrilling day of racing with a higher chance of crashes – particularly at the intermediate sprints and at the finish line.

Some of the world’s best riders are taking part in Britain’s premier cycling event, including household names such as Mark Cavendish and Geraint Thomas.

Dutchman Lars Boom will be wearing the green jersey of the overall race leader, with his six-second stage victory in yesterday’s time trial stage in Clacton earning him an overall race lead of eight seconds.

But with the margins so tight, those in contention for the tour win will not be letting anyone out of their sight during today’s racing.
