Crowds united in Woodbridge to celebrate the Great Get Together, remembering the life and work of MP Jo Cox.

The event, hosted by the Tea Hut, featured live music from Peter Hepworth, accompanied by Merlin Bruce, who also played with fellow Aartwork bandmates Claire Cordeaux and Art Butler.

Magic Ollie provided some children’s entertainment as did Steff Evans, who organised the event.

There was face painting by Raging Zoo and a children’s art workshop by Bon, the ‘Distressed Artist’.

Mayor of Woodbridge Clare Perkins opened proceedings with an address to remind everyone why they were gathered.

The Tea Hut’s Sharon Wolff said: “It was a great day with a fantastic turn out from the public chilled and friendly.

“We raised in excess of £900 on the day from passing round buckets, with more to come.
